Abstract

Innovation is the key to competitiveness in today's technological era. Perseverance is a person's persistence and desire to achieve long-term goals. However, these relationships are often inconsistent and influenced by contextual factors such as the work environment. This study aims to analyze the role of grit on innovative work behavior, the role of grit in the work environment, the role of the work environment on innovative work behavior, and also the influence of grit on innovative work behavior through the mediation of the work environment. The quantitative approach was carried out using the purposive sampling method with a questionnaire via Google Forms and measured using the Likert scale. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Research shows that grit has a significant influence on Innovative Work Behavior and also has a positive and significant effect on Innovative Work Behavior through the Work Environment as a mediating variable. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the levels of grit, Work Environment, and Innovative Work Behavior are in the high category, although there are several aspects that need to be improved.
