Electronic Filing

JASa recognizes that preserving scholarly publications is essential to maintaining the long-term accessibility, reliability, and integrity of the scientific record.

The journal maintains an electronic archive of published scholarly content through its online publishing system.

The electronic archive includes published articles, bibliographic metadata, abstracts, publication information, and available supplementary materials.

Objectives of Digital Preservation

The journal's digital preservation policy aims to:

  1. Maintain long-term access to published scholarly content.
  2. Protect digital materials against accidental loss, corruption, or unauthorized modification.
  3. Preserve the authenticity and integrity of published articles.
  4. Support metadata discovery and scholarly indexing.
  5. Facilitate continued accessibility when publishing systems or technologies change.
  6. Maintain reliable records of corrections, retractions, and other post-publication notices.

Electronic Archiving

Published articles are made available through the journal's electronic archives.

Digital preservation should be supported by appropriate technical safeguards, institutional backup procedures, and, where available, participation in recognized preservation services.

Any participation in external preservation networks, including PKP Preservation Network, LOCKSS, or CLOCKSS, must be disclosed only after the journal has verified the relevant service arrangements.

The journal is committed to preserving the scholarly record and ensuring that any subsequent editorial corrections remain traceable to the original publication.
