Authorship Criteria
JASa recognizes authorship as both an acknowledgment of intellectual contribution and an acceptance of responsibility for published scientific work.
Individuals identified as authors must have made substantial and meaningful contributions to the research.
Authorship should satisfy the following criteria:
- Substantial contribution to research conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation.
- Involvement in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its intellectual content.
- Approval of the final version submitted for publication.
- Agreement to take responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and accountability of the published work.
All individuals who meet the authorship criteria should be recognized as authors.
Individuals whose contributions do not qualify for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately, with their permission.
Author Responsibilities
All authors must:
- Approve the submitted and final manuscript.
- Agree on the authorship order.
- Ensure the originality and integrity of the research.
- Disclose relevant conflicts of interest.
- Identify funding sources where applicable.
- Cooperate with requests concerning research integrity.
- Appropriately acknowledge the contributions of other individuals.
Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for communications between the journal and the author group.
The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the submission, revisions, authorship information, and final manuscript.
Authorship Misconduct
JASa prohibits ghost authorship, guest authorship, honorary authorship, and other forms of inappropriate attribution.
Requests to modify authorship after submission must include a reasonable explanation and written agreement from all affected authors.
Unresolved authorship disputes may be referred to the relevant research institutions.
